Would You Drive This Thing?

Going through my new and growing RSS feed is quickly becoming one of my more favorite and addicted hobbies, which I sometimes feel may be a waste of time, too. Anyway, I came across something cool while carousing through the list of articles.

This is really alien looking and I feel like I’d have to step off of a space ship to be able pull this off. Sometimes I’m not sure if people go around in this type of vehicle to make a fashion statement of some sort (or lack thereof), or maybe to say “hey, look, I’m all cool and techie and up-to-date on new gadgets, big and small,” or, perhaps, there are actually those people who truly believe they can make a difference by driving around in this thing.

What is “this thing,” anyway? Clever. That’s right, the creators of the vehicle have actually chosen to be very self-confident and call their creation Clever, by name. According to my source website, greenUpgrader, the “compressed natural gas engine is capable of going 62 mph with a range of about 125 miles all the while emitting less than 60 g/km of CO2.” 62 miles per hour? Eh, I guess that’s means I could go on a freeway… out of state, at least.

Anyway, I think that this could be a cute commuter … car? You don’t have to worry so much about parking, as this thing could easily fit on a sidewalk, down a narrow alley, and probably even in motorcycle parking. It’s a cool concept, and I can’t wait to see if it will catch on or not … or better yet, if they can sell me on it when it’s ready.
